Devlog #6

I have accomplished the greatest update for Test Project Githo yet.
It's simply excellent.
My goals, my dreams, my ambitions.
All coming to fruition.
It's...
Well...
I've just added three extra hands of blocking to block the "Begin" button from being pressed.
Now any (totally extant) players can be extra protected from that temporary minigame!
And, most importantly, I can return the "Begin" button to its rightful size!
It's beautiful!
And so precisely positioned!
(technically, with the new hand handling system, the quantity of hands of blocking no longer actually influences the area they can block)
(but having four hands of blocking still helps send a message!)
(it says: "Don't play this yet! Even though it's already released for you to play!")
(it also says you need a bath)
(I apologize on behalf of my hands of blocking)
The most recent update for my Minecraft mod took longer than expected...
As usual, at this point...
'Twas supposed to primarily be just about adding glass pane and yarn roll items, though I took a week or two longer than necessary even after implementing them.
But it was important!
Very useful technologies I was developing.
Also some world generation stuff... which, admittedly, could've been postponed for a later update.
Maybe bundling an update to ash and snow along with the glass panes and yarn rolls was over-scoping a bit...
The next Minecraft mod update, at least, will be primarily featuring technology closely derived from what I've learned from the previous one.
Maybe I'll get it done faster!
I've already started on it, and by golly, let me tell you:
I've already added stuff to it that I wasn't originally planning on.
But the creepers! They're so annoying!
I simply needed to learn how to use mixins immediately so that I could modify their explosions!
Since the previous devlog, I have devised a system of easily tracking update & milestone completion parity.
This will give me the opportunity to continue working on either Test Project Githo or my Minecraft mod without losing track of which one should have priority according to my strategy of alternating between them .
Thus, if I feel particular inspiration toward either at any point in time, I can spontaneously switch my focus to it without worry!
Test Project Githo plans have developed a bit.
Not only have I completed a milestone... but I also added three more milestones to the total!
Wow, I have 30 milestones left to complete again!
So nostalgic!
Note: The total scope of Test Project Githo version 1.0.0 hasn't increased, per se; I just documented a few milestones which weren't previously outlined, but nonetheless necessary.
Work Record
Presently keeping track of time spent actively developing Test Project Githo and my Minecraft mod.
Recorded time includes includes coding and documentation management, but does not include image creation, nor ideating while not otherwise actively working.
For Test Project Githo, recorded time includes playtesting, documentation management, and coding.
For my Minecraft mod, recorded time does not include playtesting, and only sometimes (arbitrarily) includes documentation management.
The recorded time for my Minecraft mod is still disproportionately low this time, but should only be so by a little bit (perhaps 5-25%?).
Total time spent actively working (since September 16th up to now):
Minecraft mod | 24 hours, 47 minutes |
Test Project Githo | 4 hours, 14 minutes |
Time was recorded on a daily basis, and rounded down to the minute.
Test Project Githo version 1.0.0
Milestones Completed:
3/33
Since last devlog: 1
Total milestone requirement increased by 3!..
